The Swarovski Museum was founded in Wattens in 1995 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of the crystals. This is not a usual museum, it has the shape of a giant and from his mouth flows a mini-waterfall.

This exhibition is unique in its own way, it is composed of a sequence of underground rooms full of magical fantasy, all around the theme of crystal. The “Giant” imagined by Andre Haller is among the most visited tourist attractions in Austria. Swarovski shown here, at the company headquarters, a multicolored cosmos of bright crystals, framed by contemporary art in a serene atmosphere.

On an area of ​​1300 square meters Swarovski presents the variety of its products in a impressive environment including jewelry created by Daniel Swarovski Accessories and Home Decor, design objects and precision instruments.

The exhibition rooms of the Swarovski World

Entrance hall of the Swarovski Crystal World is a deep blue treasure room. The crystal artworks, that belong to famous artists, are surrounding the Centennial. With a weight of 300,000 carats, it is the largest polished crystal in the world.

The Mechanical Theater of Jim Whiting is a surrealist fashion show.

At the Crystaloscope of the Swaroski Kristalwelten you will see constantly changing crystal formations in the largest kaleidoscope of the world.

 

The Crystal Cathedral is a geodesic dome in which you will feel like you are inside a giant crystal.

At the Crystal Theater the sun dances with the moon and invites you give free rein to your imagination.

At the Ice Alley a light will follow each of your steps and under your feet bright crystals appear.

The objects of the giant include rod, ring, gloves and accordion, all made for his size.

At the Puzzle of Poseidon you will see high colored pebbles and Sea characters.

All these rooms of the Swarovski Museum eventually lead to the “Crystal Stage” that is the largest Swarovski commercial area in the world, containing almost the entire range of crystal products of the manufacturer. In the bright world of shopping, the biggest Swarovski shop in the world you can find a unique offering of Swarovski products and the latest fashion trends of crystals.

Finally you can stop at the park near the Swarovski Crystal World, where the sculptures, installations, an adventure playground and a hand shaped green maze invites you to explore them.

Visiting the Museum

The Swarovski Museum is opened daily from 9.00 to 18.30, and the latest entry in the “giant” is at 17.30. It is closed between 9 and 20 November and the ticket is 9.5 euro. Wattens is at just a few minutes away from Innsbruck by car.
