If you haven’t seen the Ski Circus, Kitzhuhel has something to offer. The areas that are best in Austria with the must ski places are namely: Flachau, Gerlos, Lech am Arlberg, Neustift, Saalbach, Solden, St Anton am Arlberg, Stuben am Arlberg and last but not least, Zauchensee.

High and Ski-in, Ski-out

For intermediates, the south of Salzburg is where you can find the highest ski holiday resorts. Venture into the Ski Amade ski region that links into Flauchauwinkl, Flachau and Wagrain St Johann. Beginners snowboarders or skiers beware as this region has you get modern skiing as well as tough routes.

The ski hill at Elfer allows you to reach the best glacier skiing in the Alps. If you are looking for a well-equipped yet low rise ski holiday resort at Stubai Glacier, this is the best choice. Down the valley from Innsbruck. Be there from October til June and experience the superb snow conditions particularly in the peak of winter.

Alpine Highway – Grossglockner Road

Check out the most scenic drive on the Grossglockerner Road. If you start from Lienz, just drive on Route 107 to Heiligenblut town area. You may want to stop for a coffee then climb the mountain by car. You will arrive on Bruck an der Grossglocknerstrasse near Zell am See then to Kitzbuhel in about 55km.
